Children's Programs

     At Tracy's Kenpo Karate of Shreveport, LA, we understand that children and adults learn differently and have different needs.  That is why we separate our adult programs entirely from our children's programs.

     We also separate our children's programs by age.  Children have different learning needs and abilities at different ages.

     Little Dragons, ages 9-12, focus on building strong, powerful basics, fluid movement, and the moral courage to know when and when not to use their skill.  They learn self defense techniques and theory, and they also learn the katas of kenpo and correct movement.  Little Dragons can achieve a Junior Black Belt.

     Our Little Tigers are aged 6-8.  They also focus on building a strong foundation of basics, developing moral character, and building a fun fitness ethic.  They are exposed to self defense theory and taught the application of basic movements, but they are not required to know self defense techniques or katas just yet. 

     Little Tigers can achieve a Green Belt, at which point they graduate to Little Dragons.
